The spread of disease from Dogs to farm animals.
I find it rather interesting to note that the Irish Wildlife Trust tell us that around 100,000 Badgers have been culled in Ireland since 1984 - because they might be spreading disease from one farm to another.
This makes me wonder just how many farmers could actually find it acceptable to let horses & dogs just roam freely from one farm to another farm & across many farms during a day of Fox Hunting.
It's worth remembering that Dogs can spread several farm animal diseases, either through faeces or direct contact. They include Neosporis (causing cattle abortions), Sarcocystosis (affecting Sheep), Leptospirosis, Salmonellosis and Giardia.
